ok depends on how long you want to stay and what you are interested in but there is an open top bus ride you can buy a ticket and it lasts all day get on and off where ever you like . There are about 4 differnt routes and you must choose your route first. i cant remember exactly where you buy the tickets but i do remember you can buy them on the bus and i think you can catch a bus at piccadilly circus. ask at any ticket office on an underground station. This will give you a good start as to what you can go and see. this bus will take you past these main attractions. The tower of london, where the crown jewels are kept (the ancient norman keep or castle of london) this is near tower bridge the famous one that opens. there is of course buckingham palace where the queen lives not sure if its open to public right now. the houses of parliment and big ben are also close to westminster abbey one of our most famous cathedrals and st pauls is another. museums the most famous is the british museum where the rosetta stone is kept and many other famous exhibits. also the victoria and albert, the natural history and the science museum, most of the museums are free, but they do ask for a contribution to their up keep. the national portait gallery by trafalgar square . try the link below as well, You need a map and an underground map if you are staying at a good hotel ask the conceirge, if your not go into a good hotel and look like you know what your doing and ask anyway. they are usually free. there are also places like madame tusauds the famous waxworks museum further outside london, there is hampton court ( old royal palace) well worth seeing, kew gardens, windsor castle and many many more.i think i have given you the most important. if you intend using the underground then buy a cheap day ticket which will last all day where ever you go. ohhh and harrods is the big shop to visit also oxford strreet regents street are the main shopping streets and fortnum and masons in picadilly is worth a visit, have tea there if you can afford itany questions ask

Starting from Liverpool Street Train Station, walk down to the River Thames...walk over London Bridge, along the bank where there are street vendors, museums along the way (Tate) and Shakespeare's theatre.....take a taxi from there to Houses of Parliament or walk across the thames again and you'll see Big Ben and Westminster Abbey...have to make it to Covent Garden for SHOPPING and shows!! Can do London in a day, best 2 or 3. Stay out of the East End (Bow)....

Big Ben
London Eye(costs abt £15 for a ride, but u can have fun just looking at it if u dont want to spend money!)
London Dungeon(not too great, it is not v scary really. costs abt £15-20).
Thames River(get off at the waterloo station and take a walk on the bridge. good eating places by the river. there r also some street performers on the weekend!)
Buckginham Palace(it is open only from April-Sept, but u can have a look from the outside and get a snap clicked with the famous "guards"!)
Do not BUY single tickets for travel on buses/tubes. Ask at the Assisstance on a tube station, tell them ur rough travel plans and they will suggest soemthing cheap.
when in london, if u want to know how to travel from one palce to another, go to www.tfl.gov.uk. awesome website. just type the name/post code of the place where u want to go to and ffrom where u wll b leaving. it will show u the exact time, bus number, etc. v convenient and precise.
cant think of nething else righ tnow. have fun!!

there is a lot of places you can go, like London Eye and of course Big Ben which you can walk to it from London Eye and also in the big streets like Oxford Street or Kings Road you can get one or two days tour with those English buses and they would take all of the places and castles and museums..Also from Big Ben you can walk to Kings Rd and at the end of the road there is lot of nice museums. Have fun and enjoy your time in London.
