The Mavs have picked on alot of the teams from the East including some of the lower seeded West teams but dont for a moment think that In a 7 game series that they wont choke just like they did in the NBA finals

yes the spurs are always there to stop the top west teams from going further. they can be able to stop the mavericks and/or the suns and jazz.

If the NBA finals were already determined than they'd cancel the rest of the season, send everyone home on vacation and just mail the Larry O'Brien trophy to Dallas. As the old cliche goes "thats why they play the games".
However, if you've watched the Mavericks this year you know they are a more determined, focused, and driven team. Against your beloved Spurs this season the Mavericks are 2-1 (including 2 wins on the Spurs homecourt)
You can talk big on an online forum. Yet the facts remain the Mavericks will have homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs and this year the Spurs will face a tougher, more experienced Maverick team bent on a return trip to the Finals. They are coached by Avery Johnson and he will accept nothing less. Deny it as much as you want but a lump is forming in your throat with the mere thought of the imposing task that looms so large ahead of your Spurs. This year the Mavericks will leave no doubt, there will be no weak foul call for you to bellyache about the series will never get that close and it frightens you. That's why you talk so big here to mask your fear.

i dont give a sh*t if the mavs get 70 wins in the regular season,the spurs have a legit chance to win a 7 game series over anyone. no one,mavs included,would be glad to face the spurs on their way to the finals. the spurs have a way of peaking at the right time in the season and this season is no different. i pick the spurs to represent the west in the finals.

I seem to recall a 7 game series between the Mavs and Spurs last year...
The Mavs are better this year, so I will be VERY suprised if the Spurs even get to game 7, let alone win the series.

I wasn't going to dignify u with an answer, but here we go: first, would u have said this a week ago when the Spurs were on a losing streak? Just because they've won 5-6 games, does not mean they're better than the Mavs, who didn't choke when they beat them on game 7, in their homecourt last year. Remember who choked in overtime of that game? the spurs.... So, stop day-dreaming cuz' it ain't happening. And just for the record, the mavs have beat the spurs twice(on the road), Suns (twice) Miami (twice)..... do u want me to go on????? Seriously!

Spurs will knock off the Mavs, if they ever meet in the playoffs. They are really hot right now, blowing out teams, the Mavericks always do well in the regular season but DIRK CHOKES in the playoffs.

Dogg come on, the Mavs are on a mission and if you watch every Mavs game you can see and understand their drive to be on top at the end of the season. Their harshest critic is their own coach Avery Johnson which won you guys your first championship. Mavs are too much and too young to be stoped. The real question is how many championships will the Mavericks win in the next decade?

I want to see this series as the Western Finals... That being said either one of these teams can win it, but it is an odd numbered year and spurs won it in 99', 03', and 05'.

thats happens no way we will win. ya we did beat them twice dint we or was i dreaming? hmmmmmmmm. plus we havent losy in months at home and we will have home court advantage and if the streak continues we will win 4-0
