Factory smog promotes smokers as early as kindergarten. Schools and family stores should not be located near oil refineries, or chemical plants. Cigarettes are a mere after thought to keep the circus moving

Hey you might want to do some research in Hawaii because they just passed a law regarding this. Its practically a statewide smoking ban. You can't smoke within 20feet of a business or public location (something like that) So smokers have to stand in the miiddle of the road to smoke :) ( Isn't that nice!?) Smokers aren't allowed to smoke inside any building by the way.

I'm NOT a smoker but this is one of the most ridiculous law ever passed. Even bars "for smokers only", you can't smoke in there.

Pros: Clean air???? (give me a break, but they say Hawaii has the cleanest air in the USA now)
Cons: Destroying people's lives. Destroying people's freedom?

It is terrible for the economy. IL economy is in the crapper. People are blaming the governor who is an idiot, but mainly cause of the smoking ban. However we have good news a local slightly wealthy bar owner is taking the ban to court and speculators expect to lift the ban from bars (after getting some sort of certificate or something) so they can allow smoking again. That is just what is expected to happen. Reasoning is the economy here is doing so poorly and bars are going out of business so fast as well as restaurants. Indiana is actually making huge dollars off it. If you listen to talk radio they play ads on it telling smokers and former workers who lost their jobs due to ban to move there. So there housing market is doing well and the economy is growing extremely fast. I even see Wisconsin is now shooting down the smoking ban idea after seeing what has happened here within the short period of a month.

I am a smoker and I am sure a ban in most places are understandable. I don't smoke in my house because of my children probably want to enjoy fresh air.

Pro - better health
Con - steps on individual choice and freedom to choose for the smoker and the business owner.

If this continues, Big Macs are next.

one major pro is that certain people with health problems (like asthma) can be more . . . well . . certain they aren't going to have an attack or coughing fit in a resturaunt and stuff. also the fresh air could help lower second hand smoking. a con could be that smokers might be more likely to not go to certain resturaunts because they feel like there being treated unfairly. hope that helps!

I'm a smoker, and I don't believe that there should be a ban in certain places, like bars and nightclubs. If you go to bars, most ppl smoke there. I don't mind resturants having no smoking, it's when they start telling us that we can't smoke on the street, that it starts to upset me.

Pros- Reduce risk of second hand smoking addictions, reduces diseases, reduces young smokers, reduces death and cancer and etc.,

Cons- Collapses jobs in smoking industry, causes angry addicts, businesses that have installed filtering products in like restraunts have lost money, bars lose business.

Those are just some ideas.

hemp is the plant that made our oil
hemp can be grown to day ,but for a law that calls it a drug
because some smoke it we cant grow it to run our cars on hemp oil right now
the war on smokers is mainly trying to further put down hemp
it was the bush that didnt burn ie its renewable
it was made into the lampstand in the holy of holy in the temple
it is the tree of life in reverlations growing beside the river of life
satan suppresses the people of the plant smoking flax they refuse to quench
but smoking dosnt cause cancer ,micro particles do
passive smoking is micro particle caused in the non smoking caused [non smokers] particulate micro particles from petro chemical will all ways be killing us regardless of the abuses perrpitarated and blamed on smoking
this farce of smoking [even micro particulate ] causing cancer only applies to the geneticcly succeptable to getting cancer
3/4 of us can never get cancer
the stats are purly made up of the 1/4 succeptable to cancer from ANY CAUSE ,including any micro particulate producers ie wood smoke ,petro polutions , even emitions fumes from plastic
smoking takes the whole blame but is only a scape goat
easy to blame smoking but think of the stink of cars ,trucks ,planes burning garbage , but satan would blame smokers alone
why because hemp can save the world and hemp has 30,000 uses only one is smoking ,hemp farming can save the world satan wants it destroyed ,beginning with the smokers
