I have been accepted to several colleges, but now i'm thinking that I should apply to less expensives ones. Most of the colleges that applied to are decent schools but cost about 25-30 thousand. I plan on doing ROTC in colleges and im considering a military career, so is it worth it to pay that much money when I can just get a degree from a cheaper college. I live in NY, so going to a SUNY school might be a good idea. Any suggestions?

What a college costs is rarely a measure of whether it is a good option for any specific area of study. Many of the SUNY schools are well rated and respected and a state school is likely to be a less expensive option compared to other choices.

What do you want to study? Politics? International relations? Foreign languages? Engineering? Sociology or Psychology? There are many majors that would be appropriate and useful, depending on what aspect of the military you wish to focus upon. Decide on your preferred major, then research which schools have good reputations for that area of study. SUNY is a big system with much variation between individual schools, so you have to start with what you want to study.
