Actually, my answer is very simple! It is in Mar and Jun of every year.

There is a yearly event called IT Show, which occurs in Mar, IT & Electronic products will be on sales or on a promotional package which attracts more than 1/2 a dozen of Singaporeans & foreigners swamp in to this show. Freebies & doorgifts are provided as well.

And in Jun, there is another exciting & big-event as well, also a yearly event called Great Singapore Sales. This sales event is throughout the whole nation which involves retail shop sales to anything else. And the discount given is more than the usual prices you are getting on the normal days.

The less favourite season, I would only put it across to you is during our Monsoon period which starts around Oct - December where the rainy seasons are involved throughout these few months. It may bring inconvenience to tourists because most of the days, there are rain and rather troublesome especially if you're on a tour. But to Singaporeans, we think these few months are our favourites as the air is cooling and there are more breezes.

Rainy season in Singapore should be in Nov, Dec, and Jan. It's over now, but still you can expect rain occasionally. Singapore is a place where you get rain all year round.

If you wan to look for electronic stuffs, you can go to Sim Lim Square or Funan IT mall. Lots of IT stuffs there.

For your info. the Great Singapore Sales starts on 25 May to 22 Jul 2007.

If you're going to Singapore for sales, the best time is from 25 May to 22 Jul as the Great Singapore Sale is on. That's when you get great bargains on a wide variety of stuff, even electronic goods. Just remember that Singapore uses the UK type plug and works on 220 volts.

Even if it rains, it's not going to give you much hassle as most rains, including thunderstorms are short-term. There is also an efficient and great underground subway system that gets you all around the city.

Singapore has 2 distinct monsoon seasons, the NE and the SW. The NE is from Oct to Apr and here we have just about seen the passing the usual wetter months in Dec and Jan.

With SW monsoon, the usual wet months are from late Jul to early Sept. Having said that, I have to add that tropical weather is difficult to predict, compared to the temperate zones, so, you can still get passing showers on a sunny day.

Best time to buy electronics will be during the I.T. Show, coming on this coming weekend, Computer Exhibition, later on in the year, and the Great Singapore Sale from late May till Jul. You can get quite fabulous discounts at Sim Lim Square and Funan Centre for all things electronics/.

I will have to say that the urban plnners in Singapore are not that great. You can get wet travelling from one place to another when it rains, unlike HK where you can get connected under shelter. So bring a light windbreaker if you can.

The Rainy season here is not extreme like the monsoons and Nov and Decemebr are generally the wettest.

Electronics are reasonaly though you may like to try out only fixed priced outlets. Some recommendations....Mustapha, Harbour Front and Sim Lim Square. There is also Paris Silk Store (dont ask me why its silk) but they got great prices for electronics especially at export prices.

July and August are fantastic times to visit Singapore if you intend to enjoy the best seafood cuisine in the world. July is when the Singapore Food Festival takes place, and August is popular for the world famous Singapore Chilli Crab.... which is my all-time favorite dish anywhere in the world.

You may need to look for a private tour guide in Singapore to help you.
