I need to take my car (VW Golf) across some private farm land where there is a privately constructed customised bridge which goes highish above a deep river. The bridge crossing has a weight limit of 2 tonnes.

I've never understood the math of weights.... stones and pounds then other stuff like kg. I'm guessing I'm well within the 2 tonne limit ? A more accurate guess at car weight would be more reassuring. Thanks.

You're well under that....I bet the Brits on here will get kick out of this. When I was alot younger I owned a 1964 Chrysler Imperial LeBaron sedan(saloon) that weighed 7,100 lbs.

It weighs about 800 kilo's. I weigh cars in often so this should be something like accurate. Have fun.
