Some women have heavy periods...'chopped liver' is a term some have used, but its possibly because you have been sitting down for a long time and when you stand up to walk to the loo, gravity takes over.

Seriously though, if you feel you're losing too much blood maybe you could visit your doctor for some advice. But I agree that sometimes it does seem as though there's a huge amount.

I agree with the 'gravity' theory, always, when istand after sitting or get out of bed with my period, I can feel lots of blood dropping down. It can get stuck round the corner of your vagina and canal until you move and then it shifts and comes out.

nothing at all to worry about sue i have same problem so does a lot of woman i know it just collects up then when you go toilet all comes away so dont worry.

Nothing to worry about. It is just that there is a collection of blood waiting to come out of your vagina from your womb and when you urinate it dilutes it and makes it look worse than it is.

'Seems so much blood' doesn't really quantify it.
Go to your doctor if you are concerned about the amount of blood you are losing. It's possible you're not losing much at all, but if you are, there are things they can do to lessen the amount.

water spreads blood out making it look like a lot more plus its being forced down when you pee
