He was arrested for something that he didn't show up to court for ten years ago. His bond is a thousand dollars, which I can't afford to pay. What happens now? Does he stay in jail until his court date? Then what?
He was in trouble ten years ago for a DWYA, or something. Its like a step below a DUI. I don't think they even do them anymore.

I know I'm not responsible for the bail, and it wouldn't matter if I was because I don't have a thousand dollars. I just want to know when he's going to come home.

Heres another good question... Can I go see him? Can I somehow let him know that I'm worried about him and that I called his parents and we're seeing what we can do about all this?
I know he has to deal with this problem, I've been telling him that for months now, and to be honest I'd rather see it over and done with. But I hate to think of him alone in jail and not knowing if anyone is trying to help him.

Yup, he's in til court. Sound like they'll probably spring him for time served.

If he can't post bail he remains in jail until at least his initial court appearance. It's doubtful he'll be ORed since he failed to appear on the initial charge. Depends on the judge. If he's smart, he'll just plead guilty and make payment arrangements to pay off the fine.

He'll stay in jail until his court date. After that, he may be sentenced to another length of time in jail by the judge equal to his fine? For example, out in California, a day in jail is equal to $200.00 per day, so if he's fined $1000.00, he'll spend 5 days in jail, (200 x 5 = 1000).

He will have to go in front of a judge that will probably give him 90 days or something like that and then it is up in the air as in if he gets sent back or stays and if i was you and wanted more of what he gives then i would almost count on moving to mexico

Well, my guess is that one way or the other, he will be punished for disregarding his court appearance. You simply can't thumb your nose at the rules by which society lives... Everyone is subject to the same laws..there are no exceptions.

Your boyfriend was irresponsible 10 years ago and will now pay the price. Good lesson for him, learned the hard way.

You are not married to him. You are NOT responsible for the $1,000 bond, no matter what he tells you. Don't pay it.
