I have never bought rented games from Blockbuster so I am a little confused on how to do it. The game I want is not on the "for sale rack" but is up for renting, which you can also buy for x amount of money more. Th game is due back on 3/06/07 but it says "Own it 3/13/07 for only 34.99 more". Why is the buy date a week later than it is due, can someone who either works there or has bought games from there help me out?

Because of the "no-late fee" policy. You are charged the cost of the rental after it is one week late. You then can choose to return the rental within 30 days and only pay $1.25 extra. Or, you can pay for the item and keep it.

Because there is no "late fee", they give you a grace period ( I believe 8 days) to return your movie or game. After that you'll be charge the purchase price, therefore you keep what you originally rented. I hope this helps.
