If you want to quit, then go to an A&A meeting. If you dont want to go to that, then go to rehap. I hope that you quit drinking. I will pray for you.

Getting a lot of flack is not going to help you so I'll give you some things to think about.
Alcoholism is a disease that most people do not accept. It is real and there is no cure. The only thing that will help is your determination to have a life of joy instead of a life with despair and disappointment.
I was married to one. He emotionally abused me and my children, in and out of rehab five times, made promises he couldn't keep, lost all of his friends because he couldn't stop accusing them from stupid stuff....mainly wanting me in some way, always paranoid, flirted obnoxiously, and I could go on forever.... If any of this rings a bell with you....ask yourself....do you really want this kind of life? There is so much more out there but the alcohol is keeping you from receiving the best. Go get determined to get control. Find a support group, maybe a buddy that has been where you are and has changed. You will need a helping hand at first but it will get easier with practicing every day telling yourself that it just isn't worth it. Best wishes to you.

Don't pick up that first drink. Find an AA group. Still don't pick up that first drink. Go to 30 meetings in 30 days. Don't drink now, either. Get reaquainted with your friends. Don't go drinking with them. Find times when you were an @$$hole while you were drunk, and make amends. No drinking now. Make a list of nice things about yourself that don't require drinking. Get a hobby or take a class so you can use the time you used to spend drinking. Just don't drink!

You have 2 options: make a complete fool of yourself, or try and make things okay.
Whatever you do, don't even dream of getting behind the wheel of a car. That would be both stupid and dangerous to yourself and everyone in your way.
Recommend: take an asprin and a multivitamin before too long, you may spare yourself a hangover later. This works for some people, but not for others.

If you truly believe that and want help, look in the phone book under alcholics anonymos. There is a meeting near you. Get a ride and go now. There will be a meeting in most big citys in a few minutes from now.
Otherwise there will be one this week.
You want help, AA has proven to be sucessful for many years.
If you want to whine, you have done that. and you will not get better.

Go to a AA meeting. The place is full of Drunks but they are there to try and change. If you do NOT want to change then you are not going to change, plain and simple.

First of all, you need to WANT to change. If you have no intentions of bettering yourself, then forget about it. If you want to make a change, seek help. Through counseling, AA meetings, or finding a support group. Best of luck.

Go to rehab or keep drinking. Pretty much a binary choice.
