It "should" work with any access point but...

If it's a G card and you're trying to do "super-G" the linksys card will only do that with Linksys routers. For normal wireless, you should be fine.

The Linksys WUSB54G is a wireless network adapter that plugs into a computer's USB port. As long as you install the drivers on the machine properly BEFORE you insert the WUSB54G into the machine's USB port, and as long as you have set it up to use the security settings of the cable modem (WEP or WPA), it will definitely work with your wireless cable modem. Make sure though that you have the user ID and password of your cable modem Internet account handy, just in case.

You defintely can make your computer wireless with your WUSB54G adapter. Of course, you have to connect a wireless router to your broadband connection (DSL or Cable)

Yes .. it will work with other access points. You just need to know the key if it's secured). So if your computer were a laptop, you could take it to Starbucks and use their internet service. Their SSID is tmobile. There are tons of FREE wireless services all over town too. Just don't use your neighbor's unsecured broadband connection LOL

Are you confident that your prompt router is on? Now that sounds like a dumb question yet your router may well be on however the prompt element of the router could be off. Login on your prompt router by potential of connecting directly to between the interior reach ports and make confident that the prompt element of the router is grew to become on. Then make confident that the SSID etc are maximum appropriate on your router and your prompt adapter.
