Also, is it alright that our administration has put us into such a situation that our country feels any slight stock market drop when China's economy takes a hit, as exemplified by the stock plunge on Tuesday?

No, it's not at all. We are borrowing from Japan, China etc. for this war. I have no idea what they're thinking. If any of these other countries quit buying or start selling our US treasuries, we're in trouble.

No its not alright. In fact, i think the US government has sown the seeds of the country's downfall. If China ever calls in that debt and the world oil businesses start doing their deals in Euros then the US economy is finished. The reason the US has so much money is because all oil deals worldwide are done in dollars. So, to buy oil you have to buy dollars! The OPEC countries had recently been talking about using Euros instead, one of the countries most strongly in favour of this was Iraq, was the war a warning to other anti-US OPEC countries?
I think we had better get used to the fact that China will soon be the major superpower in the world and the US will have to take a back-seat.

Someone has to pay for the warmongering president. So during Clinton's time it was $2 Billion and now it's $240 Billion. Quite a difference. I don't think it's ok, but someone has to pay for the wars that are picked by the Bush Administration....so I don't think the US has any choice.

Sure. Maybe when China finds a way to generate some cash, they will finally start buying things. They have a little way to go before coming close to the consumption of the U.S., but they will come out of their funk as Communism fades and capitalism takes hold.
Communist chiefs will certainly welcome the much larger bribes that come with greater prosperity.

We had 2 billion dollar deficit with them in the Clinton Adm which wasn't dealing with a war and 9/11 and if you've paid attention it's comming back up. Just a media frenzy.
