they havent wrecked baltimore but they severly f*cked up so many of there defensive players wanted thomas to stay and i almost gurantee several players would of restructerd contracts for him, iam a new england fan and signing thomas was a good move yes its true most players from baltimore suck with new teams the pats will get every possible bit of effort out of thomas, but losing thomas if the ravens want to help themselves they need to grab porter or june asap

No. They did a good thing letting Thomas walk. He is a great player but to bring him back they would have to cut 2 or 3 people other than J.Lew. And try to talk a few people into restructuring their contracts and even then they may not have been able to sign their rookies. The Ravens all ways bounce back when they lose good defensive players, infact their defensive players end up being nothing more than overpaid average players when they leave the ravens defense. The Ravens will be a playoff contender because they didnt tear up the roster just to keep one guy, most of their best players will be back next year and the Ravens are one of the best at finding talent in the draft.

*Edit*- J.lew got cut to clear cap space because he wasnt worth the almost 11 million he would count against it. He even knew that and the Newsome has said that talks between he and Lewis agents had went well as far as new deal is concerned. So J.Lew could be back next season.

It is a bigger gain for the Pats. The Ravens did do some stupid things like letting Jamal Lewis go, Adalius Thomas, and now a report out that Ray Lewis wants out of Balitimore!!

kinda makes you wonder whats goin on in balt.wonder if its money or the direction the team is headed.they ought to get corey dillon.maybe its time to let billick go and look for a younger coach.looks like porter would fit on the defense nicely to replace thomas who knows?
