i want to learn the guitar and the bass but wich should i learn first and why?

just to add i know how to play the viola, and some cello.

learning the bass first will teach you about rythms and individual notes and how they move on the neck of the guitar but learning the guitar first will teach you a lot more about music in general
it would be faster and easier to learn the bass but if you want my opinion your best bet is to learn the guitar, and then to tell you the truth you'll already know how to play the bass

bass because guitar takes more time and theres more strings...i think. lol
