There are very bright and very ignorant people everywhere, but what are your impressions of the society at large?

Do you have any examples?

I believe American education is much slower and more relaxed than it should be, yet mandatory years are 12, which in my opinion is a waste of time. In Europe after grade 8 you are done, can go on to trade school, university, or enter the work force. I finished first 8 grades in Hungary-Europe, and when I came to America, the only classes I had left to finish for High School graduation were language & american history. I still had to finish all years 9-12 in attendance though.

I don't think an American education is too great, well compared with Niger or Chad it's wonderful but, other than that it seems pretty wierd, I mean, some of your kids don't go to school until they are six years old, I can't imagine a six year old not being able to read! And then you leave at eighteen and either go to college or get a job with nothing in between, just sounds a little odd.
But hey, you produce some pretty smart people so it much work for you. And here in Britain we get people leave secondary and still be illiterate because we can't force anyone to learn, and the government are actually paying people to stay at school making the classes pure hell for people that want to learn.
I don't think any schooling system is perfect!

I don't think American educational level is high, I think we have turned into a country where we are material people and can care less of our own education, and thats why other countrys are passing us
