While passing the judgement & decree of divorce, the court MAY direct the spouse having sufficient means to pay (monthly or in lumpsum) for other spouse's maintenance (if unable to maintain), and further pass suitable orders regarding the properties acquired JOINTLY. The properties earned or acquired by a spouse will not be shared by the other.

The new culture is like that. They expect wife's salary. Whether the husband expect or not the in-laws expect the salary of their daughter-in-law's salary.

see a lawyer if you are sure you need a divorce. the laws vary.
see a counselor. you don't have to give it up. talk to her. see why you are so miserable. maybe you can find out how be regain the love you once felt.
