Whats' the best way to raise money for building a website?

I want to start a website for people to post reviews about flooring products. The reviews would be of the products themselves, the place where the product was purchased and also about the installers. The domain name I have for this is perfect, FlooringReview.com. But right now I don't have the budget to hire someone to build the site. Do you think this website is a good idea? And how can I raise money to pay someone to build it?

Yes that sounds like a good idea for a website. You could ask around the industry and sell advertising space on your website. This might be a little hard because you haven't got anything to show them yet.

I would probably sit down and run through all the options of the website, work out the costing involved to setup and maintain the website and know exactly how much you will need.

Somehow you would want to get a return on your investment and even more so if you are trying to get investors yourself so you will need to show what they should expect in return.

Well, the only way you would be able to raise money would be to work and save.

You would be hard-pressed to find someone who is willing to invest money in nothing more than a website.

Your best option would be to find someone who knows web design, make them a partner in the matter, and you fund the site registration and hosting costs.

If cost is a concern, you are probably better off making the site yourself instead of paying someone to do it.
