I'm babysitting my brother and sister and their ages are 10 and 8. They aren't being good at all. I was cleaning up, trying to make my mom proud and my bro and sis kept on throwing this ball at my face. I told themm to stop like 79 times in counting. They didn't so I took a knife and cut the ball in half and threw it out. They are being so bad and my mom trusted me to babysit them and do a great job. She'll be home soon.
And in the middle of the crazyness my grandfather calls to check up on us and there's yelling in the backround. He yells "WHAT'S GOING ON?" My sister grabs the phone from me and says "NICOLE ROSE IS STARTING EVERYTHING!!!'' Now he says he's giving a bad report to my mom. But I did nothing but try and stop them! I cleaned the house and did everything to make my mom happy! And she trusted me and she doesn't go out a lot and now when she get's the chance to it's ruined.My bro and sis are going to blame this all on me and I won't have a stand.
HELP!

You are the oldest and most mature. Just be honest with your mom. She will believe you. Trust me I came from a house where I was the mischief maker when parents were gone. I always got in trouble. Kids will be kids.... and you just stick your ground.

It's tough when you are babysitting your own siblings. I suggest playing a board game or putting a movie in that you all can watch. Eight and ten year olds get bored easy. I know I work in a Children's Center and most of the kids I take care of are between the ages of 7 & 10. They will work for you if you give them a reward for being good. Reward systems get their attention real fast. Nothing wrong with a little bribing now and again. Just don't give them a reward until after your mom gets home. Make them a cool treat or something. Oh and you might want to stay off of the computer. Oh by the way I probably would of cut the ball in half after the 3rd time of telling them to stop. Good-luck.

First of all- cutting the ball was not the answer. All that does is get them angry at you for destroying their things. Have you tried doing something- playing a game, listening to music, -or ask them what they'd like to do. Explain to them, that if they behave, you'll be able to do what you need to and then you'll have time to do something they want. There's no point in starting fights over it. Get them to co-operate as a team- not you against them. I don't know how mucher older you are- but it's harder to deal with your own brother and sister sometimes, than with strangers. You'll do fine- just remember, they are your family.

I feel sorry for ya'..sounds like you are very sincere and really care for your Mom:) Hopefully she will believe YOU. Tell Grandpa to stay out of it, or else HE can watch them the next time;) No, not really...maybe you could call him back and explain to him they are being a couple little pains in the butt, and ask him to talk to them. Do you have anything on them that you can threaten them you'll tell your Mom about?? Try to talk to them and tell them that you really wanted your Mom NOT to have to worry while she was out, and you don't want them to ruin her day~they are old enough to understand that..IF they care about your Mom. Start from scratch and tell your mom the truth of how they treated you while she was gone, I think it will be believable to her because children can often create a living hell for the babysitter (considering your their sister, it must have been even more attractive for them to give you a hard time.) First of all you should tell your grandfather to stop being nosy. Second, dont worry about it because you know that your bro and sis are gonna deny and why would your mom believe them... Tell them what you told us and you should be fine. Whip your sibliings asses if you need to also.

wondering about how weak i'm precise now...a 4. yet there been situations the position i'm like "RAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHLKDAALKDJALDJ"...and that i'd say i'm a 7 at that element. Rage can do topics to ya. yet i'm sturdy sufficient to %. up someone my suited and weight and throw them over my head and do this at the same time as wrestling flow (lol). distinct than that...i'm undesirable at evading and ducking and weaving. continuously sturdy at kneeing human beings contained contained in the tummy besides the undeniable fact that, haha.

well, i think that if your mom is going to ask you to babysit she should make it clear to your brother and sister that you are in charge and you should have somebody that you can call for reinforcements besides yahoo answers
