I have a singer sewing machine model 7462. When I wind the thread onto the bobbin. The machine makes a lot of noise. It sounds like I am running a threahing machine. What is wrong and what can I do to correct the problem?

and do remember to use very light oil-- 3 in 1 will work. Then remember to put a paper towel or cloth under the foot-- and where ever you oiled-- to soak up extra. When you sew the first time-- use scrap fabric to catch any other oil that is extra.
oh, don't forget to brush lint and dust from out under the feed dogs.--
good luck--

When was the last time you oiled the machine? They need to be oiled about once a month.
