You will probably have the most luck with kids clothing since people go through it more quickly. Do research on local consignment shops (for example, Once Upon a Child has stores in a lot of cities). Go in and talk to them about what they generally pay for items in good condition. If it seems promising, start going to as many garage sales as you can and pick up clothes cheap, then resell them. Another option would be to run a stall at a flea market, but that would require a lot of inventory on hand to be worthwhile. Finally, you can find a local eBay consignment store -- a power seller can do all the online stuff for you, you just provide the goods and collect part of the sales.

yes it is possible. as long as these old clothes are kept in good condition. try posting them in ebay. good luck!
