Wars have become a way of lording power over another country. It may be the last barbaric act that is still practiced today by relatively civil people. The premise is that i can't get you to agree with me so i have to kill you and destroy all resistance instead. People who have fought in wars or been in it usually end up permanently damaged physically and most commonly mentally from it. Most war veterans suffer from what is called Post traumatic stress disorder where they feel mentally tortured by flash backs of what they saw and did during the war. We forget when we wage wars that humans are going to be fighting in it. Humans are going to be killing each other and watching each other die. Most of us cannot even stand seeing animals injured or slaughtered much less human beings killed in masses for no good reason. There has to be other alternatives to war. There has to be more peaceful ways to get conflicts resolved and i strongly believe that once we master these alternative ways in our everyday relationships, then we can end wars because

There wll always be more wars. The down side of wars is the death but people get off on proving their power. Bush.
