in audacity how do i remove the vocals from a song to make a karaoke song?

You can't simply "remove" the vocal tracks from a typical song, like an MP3 or WMA. However, there are programs that try to synthetically "mute" the vocal track, but sadly, Audacity is not one of them. I purchased a Creative X-Fi sound card for my computer, and it contains a utility that does just that.

I'm sorry, but I couldn't name any other programs that could carry out that task.
