Are glofish livebearers or do they lay eggs?

There are several different fish sold as glolights or glowlights. Depending on where you live it could be any on of them. All of the fish commonly sold with this name are tetras which are egg layers. Here's a picture of the most common fish sold under this name and the one I assume you are talking about:
