in highschool there was a girl that played on the football team, i think she played a Cornerback, and i played a safety so i was on the field the same time she was.
making it on the football team really should be all about skills. if a girl trying for a position and is better than the other guys, then she should play over him.
i just don't want someone to come out with some kind of affirmative action that all teams must have a girl on the team. but i also don't want any girls that are good at football to not have a chance to play either.
if a girl can play, then she should play

No on my high school team, we never had a girl that played. I personally am not against the girl being able to be on the team, I just felt that as a player, a girl may have become a distraction. I mean I just cant imagine in practice having to tackle or block a girl. It just seems strange to me.

As much as I am for women in certain things. This is one I am not.
Trying to answer this question without stepping on toes, but for me I just don't buy tickets to go watch girls play football. I go to watch my boys.
Though I think there are some girls that are just as big and fast, but for the most part "we girls" would have to take a lot of steroids to boost up. Not to mention on college and professional level those guys are fast, and strong, the only place would probably be good is a kicker like on the University Colorado team. But look what happened, she excused the team of rape and so forth.
That's just me though ;)

Not at all...but not many girls are..."good" enough physically to play with guys. I'm not being sexist, it's truth. So I don't think it's fair to every girl who wants to play football, because most just can't stack up to guys. But for now....I don't think it's a problem. It'll be hard for the guys at first, but if a girl is good enough, she deserves to play. Personally....it wouldn't take me long to take a girl seriously, having been crushed in chess by a girl^_^
But what do I know? I never played football....

We had a girl on our team. She was treated differently. She was an OL, and in practice everyone would take it easy on her. You didn't wanna burn her and get to the QB (you easily could, she sucked), because it probably would have hurt too bad emotionally. You just take it easier on them, it's not fun for the guys.
