Everyone is saying the world will run out of oil, but if i kept a barrel until we could clone it effectively how much money would i make?

You cannot clone non-living matter. The whole concept of cloning depends on the ability for a preexisting specimen to produce the clone naturally. In regard to running out of oil, however, that will likely never happen. Oil is not like coal in that it is copressed dinosaur dung and other such things. Oil is being constantly produced by the earth as all organic material underground is compressed and heated. There is evidence of this when oil wells in Texas are being reopened after they were believed to have been dry 30-40 years ago.
Therefore you are certainly not a genius!

Very good question. I think however that by the time humanity advances to the point where we have the ability to clone non-living matter our dependence on oil might be a thing of the past.
