I have a problem with outlook 2003. I can see all emails listed but "this item can't be opened" when i open it

I have a problem opening emails in Outlook 2003 on Windows XP. It just started. I can see all emails listed, but it doesn't show them in the viewer pane, nor can I open them up. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a problem with the PST file the mail is being delivered to. Locate the .pst file on your hard drive and use the scanpst.exe to repair it. (do this while Outlook is closed)
