I was listening to Barack on the radio the other day,he actually sounded like a decent guy and a good candidate if you believe what he says but does he stand a chance of being President? I don't think so,if for no other reason than that both parties seem to be trying to eat their young on this election and I don't think he has the strong enough credentials to survive it. So does he end up being Hillary's VP? I hope neither of them win if for no other reason than the fact that my taxes would at least double if either one of thems elected in order to pay on the huge debt the current Dipshit in Chief has built up and so they can start all their social programs they want like National Health Care, might be a great deal for the non working people of the US but it will suck the life out of working people. But who do you think wins,my personal opinion is that neither of them is electable without the other, which makes Obama VP because I know Hillary isn't going to take back seat to anyone.

Obama never ever says anything substantive. It's all platitudes. America is great and should be greater. The sky is blue and we should make it bluer and enjoy..bla bla bla....

I can't listen to him very long. It's just banter.

Plus, if you look at his voting record, he's a very leftist senator.

Hillary will get the nomination

I think Barack Obama is the JFK for our generation.
I am certainly supporting him in the primaries.

Do I think he will win, probably not, but he is by far the best and most honest straightforward candidate.

I realize that national health care is far from the perfect solution, but what do you suggest? Let poor people die? Non-working people already have access to Medicaid.

It's the working poor and many in the middle class who suffer. I was laid off and am starting my own business. I don't have the money for health insurance.

I am socially liberal, but I am also very much a Libertarian on many issues. I would like to see many programs transferred to the states. I believe that they would manage health care and education much more efficiently than the federal government. I would also like to see the income tax abolished and a flat tax instituted, with most of the money staying in the states to manage things like health care, education, and transportation.

If you are not happy with what your candidate proposes, write to his or her campaign! The more of us who do that the more they will start listening.

I read through some of the comments on John McCain's question "How Can We Reduce Government Waste" here on Yahoo Answers. I was appalled at the number of people who answered, "we elected you why are you asking us, it's your job to fix it"

NO, and HELL NO! It's our job to keep politicians honest and accountable and to tell them what we want. We elected them to represent us, to be our voice. It's our duty to let them know what we want and need as citizens.

Yes, I believe he does. His popularity ratings have been steadily increasing, and Clinton's have been steadily decreasing. By the time of the primary, Obama may very well be above Clinton.
