yes ... depsite what 'Heads up!' says here above me, you will lead a perfectly normal sex life with all things functioning as normal with the exception of being able to produce offspring. I had this done over 20 years ago and have had no problems. In fact, just last year I had a specific test done to see if the process was still reversible after all these years and was given a better than 50% chance should I ever decide I want to have children again, which is highly unlikely though.

A vasectomy is the most cost effective birth control available.
The sad thing is, about 2/3 of all you hear about a vasectomy is just plain crap. Why? There are three reasons;
First there is so much stigma over it. Women are taking jobs that once were excursively taken by men. As a result, men are so scared of loosing their manhood, they fear getting a vasectomy.
Second, vasectomies have lost their luster. Why? Back in the 70’s and 80’s STD’s were rare. In light of the rarity, a man could get a vasectomy, and then never worry about having a condom. A vasectomy will prevent pregnancy, but sadly offers no protection against STD. So today men must use condoms having had a vasectomy or not.
Third, is just dogma. Religious groups spread a lot of negative propaganda. Why? You don’t get future members for the congregation if the members get vasectomies.
Well, I have digressed. Back to the subject;
The sperm is the only thing absent from a mans’ sidemen once he has had a vasectomy. The sperm only makes up about 5% of the fluid. So, as you may have guessed, everythng works the same, and a vasectomy is undetectable.
Do men have problems after getting a vasectomy? Yes, they do. Why? Because they feel deep inside that they have lost their manhood. No other reason.
BTW: I got mine 20 years ago. I am over 40 now. I have never had so much of one side effect.

Yes you do, there is however a small reduction in the volume of ejaculate, and it is also a little thinner in consistency. Everything else feels exactly the some. Mrs Sithy will certainly not notice any appreciable difference either.
The added advantage if you do have a vasectomy is you will earn several brownie points from Mrs Sithy for being a big brave boy and finally lifted the weight of contraception from her shoulders!
Let me reassure you that this is a very simple procedure with little discomfort, BUT you must consider it irreversible!

Tell Mrs. Sithy not to worry, she won't notice a bit of difference after the procedure. Neither will Mr. Sithy for that matter. Only the tube that carries "the guys" get's cut and tied. All else remains the same. Well... except that it is much less worrisome when you... how should I say... go asporting!

I had the "snip" about 3 years ago, and I agree with most responses, best thing I have ever done, considering what my wife went through with child birth. Nothing changes in regards to getting a erection or ejeculating, but our sex life has improved dramatically. One thing to remember, for the first 48 hours after the procedure, don't do anything strenous or physical, just relax on the couch watching TV.

After you have a vasectomy - everything will be exactly the same as before with the exception of being able to father children.

In a vasectomy, they ligate the vas deferens (the anatomy that enables the sperm to move from the testes to the urethra or exit to penis) so you wont ejaculate when you orgasm. You still have lubrication coz the prostate isnt gone but more likely no ejaculate (liquid excretion like you said).

My hubby had one 8 years ago and yes you still get the "wet patch" (unfortunatly)
It's been great though, no worries, no scares and no regrets. We've got three kids anyway, anymore and we'd have had to get a bigger car!!!
