There are may products out there that can help with this, but I have been riding MANY years and all I do is use an automotive wax on the whole helmit....including the face shield. You will notice that the helmit slice thru the wind easier ( better for your neck)( drag racing knowledge...Chris Karamesena...AKA Golden Greek) and the water just rolls off.

Get wipers installed? was that guy joking? Who knows, they may have them! There are, however, products made for windshields that will cause the water to "sheet" off the visor, as it does a winshield, making visibility remarkably better! look for them at any larger hardware type store, or your stupid err super stores, like walmart, etc. but, damn! sorry, I cannot remember the name of the product(s) there are more than one, and they can generally be found (on Ebay of course) in the auto section of your dept store, logically, by the windshield wiper fluid.

For use on a helmet, it would probably have to be re-applied frequently... the more your visor come into contact with objects, and the oils from you hand/arms/etc it will wear the product off.

Happy Motoring!

There is plenty of water repelant products specifically designed to tempt the water to "float" off the visor. I bought one many years ago at a motorcycle show but can't for the life of me remember the name of it

Scout the pages of MCN and such literature and you will find something. The motorcycle show should be coming up soon at the NEC might make a day of it and see if I can get some more

Tinted visors are legal as long as there is a BS mark. However, black visors and eridium are illegal but I find an eridium visor is the safest to wear in low winter sun and black visors are safer on sunny days. There is no difference between johnny drug dealer and a black visor only its harder to deal drugs on a bike!! and the law states that any a car can have tinted windows all around except the windscreen.

A brand new, original equipment rain visor is the best. If you visor's old and scratched it will be nearly impossible to use in the rain well.

Sounds stupid this, but look THROUGH the rain on the visor and not directly at it. It helps a lot.

there is a product called RAIN X.it is a liquid you wipe onto your visor.it provides a barrier that prevents water from clinging to your visor. when you are moving you can see the rain dispersing.you can get it from most car retailers and wilkinsons.if you suffer from your visor misting up inside your helmet use BOB HEATHS VISOR ANTI FOG available from motorcycle accessory shops.

Rain-X makes polycarbonate visors craze and go brittle as the solvents attack it (says so right on the bottle if you bother to read it, glass only)
Wax suitable for polycarbonate or washing up liquid on inside so your breath doesn't steam it up as bad. Just a couple of spots, work it around with fingertips so you don't scratch anything allow to dry and polish with soft cloth (don't use paper towel it has stuff in it that goes blurry)

I use Autoglym Super Resin Polish and AutoGlym High Gloss Finish. These are both very high quality silicone resin based polishes designed for doing your paintwork, but I have used them on my visors for over 10 years. One application lasts for at least 6 months. Literally. Brilliant stuff.

Well, the best and safest way is to not ride your motorcycle in the rain. That keeps the rain off your visor as well.

Rain x is the very best for this cause the water just beads off of it.. You can buy it at any auto parts store for about 8 dollars.
