I hate bra shopping! Either they look like granny bras or they poke and ride up and the straps fall down! I like the queen Latifah bras and bali. You also should go and have yourself fitted at a good department store. It's kind of embarrassing but you may find that you are using the wrong size. You may have a larger cup than you think. It is soooo worth it. They usually do it for free at JC penney if you buy one of their bras. the right bra can make you feel beautiful no matter what your size. Were with you!

I am not sure about a B cup, but I think Lane Bryant has a good selection of larger sizes and any store has more sizes online.. Do you know your measurements? Online you might be able to get a Victoria's Secret-Secret Embrace. They come in sizes up to 40DD.

80% of women wear the wrong size, so you might want to get measured. The best way, if you want to measure yourself is to measure looping the tape measure as if you were going to measure straight across the center of your breasts, but then loop it up over right into where your sternum and "cleavage should be. Don't make it tight, but loose enough that it should be comfortable. Then measure (from the same tape position on your back under your breasts and take the first measurement and subtract the second measurement. For every inch, that is the cup size. So one inch is a AA, two A, 3 B, you get the idea. The second measurement is the number part of your size. Also there are what is called sister sizes. For instance a 38 B is a sister to a 36 C, etc. So if you are a 40 B, you might be able to get away with a 38C.

Good luck, bra shopping is hard. I know. Another really good thing to think about is the kind of material. Stetchy Satin (typically brands you get at walmart and other stores like it) isn't always the most attractive, because the elastic doesn't stretch as much as the satin, leaving the "wings" that show on your back. The Secret Embrace is really good because of the material (it reminds me a little of Neopreme, which is sometimes used in scuba suits. It's just not as thick.) It stretches evenly and doesn't leave you with the lines. But anyway, it tends to be "looser". I had to get a smaller number size in mine because it was looser than the other styles. And the bra is convertable so you can cross the straps in the back or make them a halter. The bra also has underwire that you cannot feel (!!) and is super comfortable. Rated best bra in 2006. I love mine!

And I wanted to add, your size does not make you fat and ugly or anything other words like that. I have days where I feel like that, and I certainly know how uncomfortable it can be to go shopping at a place like VS, so if you can get a tape measure just measure yourself with those instructions and then you cn do your shopping online if you don't feel comfortable going to the stores.

Your size does not necessarily mean that you are fat and ugly. Overweight does not equal ugly. Ok please don't take this to mean that I am rubbing it in that I am a smaller rrame, I am simple answering because I have a wierd bust size and can only buy bras online. I am a 34G (or AU 12G) bra size and although I live in Australia I shop on a website which has a US based online shop and Australian online shop .

The address is
www.zodee.com

Look under lingerie then under bras and then scroll down the sizer to find the right size. There are probably only a couple of bras in your size (same with me) but the good thing is that you can order your size, if it doesnt fit you then post it back and they will send you a different size- you can keep doing this until you get the right size.

The bras are expensive but like my size when they are not popular sizes they always cost more.
The bras are not really pretty for a 17 year old but I have never worn really pretty bras, only full cup, thick strap supportive ones and I have never had a problem with straps digging in or ill fitting bras etc.

I really hope this helps you and you can find your size on this site :)

Don't even waste your time at all the regular department stores, they don't have B's in anything higher than 38...believe me, I've searched. Well, you might find something but it will be an old lady bra that is ugly and uncomfortable.

Lane Bryant (not to be confused with the Lane Bryant catalog) is where you want to RUN to. They have fabulous choices. If you don't have one nearby, use their website. They are going to be expensive but they will last longer than cheapie bras. I hated trying to "bra" shop until I found Lane Bryant, it totally changes the experience when you can find stuff that actually fits! And make sure you get your correct size, it's so much more comfortable. If you don't know your correct size, ask them to help. Every Lane Bryant store I've been to has always had wonderfully helpful associates.

BTW...we're not ugly just because we're different. Once you're there, buy one of their Figure Magazines also. It's great for the self esteem.

If you really fill the B cup, you might be able to get away with wearing a C cup, which should make it easier to find in a larger size. I had the same problem, and went from a B to a C without feeling like I was swimming in the bra. Check Walmart for Just My Size bras. That's what I wear.

If there is a Shopko near you, they carry brands that will fit you.

If you can't find a store near you, online sources are Lane Bryant and Just My Size.

I have the same problem - just because I wear large sizes, clothiers think I am well-endowed.

go to a department store and asked to be measured they will fit you and suggest bras that will fit you. you might want to consider a diet and exercise plan. you need to lose weight. you are very heavy. being that heavy can lead to more problems than bra size. im not trying to be critical but please think about your health your too young to be that big

Try Kohl's or Wal-mart. They have larger sizes. Bali is a good brand.
