Paper is made of wood (i.e. spruce or gmelina) or vegetable pulp (i.e. cotton or hemp). The paper factory separates the fibers that make up these materials using crushing machines, water and certain chemicals. The resulting pulp is then pressed and dried. Finally, the resulting sheet of paper is cut to size. Recycled paper also undergoes the same process of pulping, pressing and drying.
