The tacumsa will last a long time but I have always had carborator trouble with them. I have a b and s on a rototiller and its covered with snow and if I dig out the recoil I'd bet it would start in three pulls

Both are good motors. I have had to repair both on used mowers, and they are very similar. The briggs and stratten seems to be more popular though. I have had no problem finidg parts and service for either one. Both have been verydependable and I would be happy with either. I would suggest, getting the one with the most horsepower for your money.
