Because people stopped looking inside themselves for answers and start asking questions on yahoo answers instead.
Sorry, I'm kidding.
Because people stopped looking inside themselves for answers and start blindly believing what they are told by commercials, news programs, politicians, religious leaders etc.

Sense is not so common, because often folk violate their God given conscience to suit their own needs and for some reason we think that as long as we aren't doing certain things(bad) we are generally a good person, yet common sense tells us that certain things are wrong, yet we talk ourselves into them!

I ask this question a million of times. However many, many people do not have common sense.....and I often wonder if Jupiter took a day off when they were sailing down the assembly line...

Because we as a society have grown lax in our punishment of stupidity. Children are not taught ethical behavior or morals, because that might make them feel bad and/or restricted.
Because we have made punishing crime harder on the victims than the criminals. We have prisoners who have better health care than most decent, "free" people. And, worst of all, it's effin FREE! Where I have to pay for what little benefit I get.
Sorry, I was wrong. Actually, prisoner health care isn't free, we the people pay for it.

One man gathers what another man spills.
Many may see it to be a wise and common sense move for you to believe something I tell you, others may not, just as easily as some may find your sentence of question here to be correct, while others may not.
(Please humbly forgive the grammatical issues in my last sentence)
Common sense.

great question.....I think it is a direct result of too much tech at our finger tips and in some cases too much analytical thinking..some of the, no most of the, smartest (book smart) people I know don't have a lick of common sense, guess they never had to rely on it....
