I visited Paris about 7 years ago and over the years, I've avoided organizing all my pictures and labeling them because of a lack of time. Well, today, I've dragged all those pictures out and I'm trying to remember what the pictures are of. The pictures I'm particularly trying to figure out are paintings and sculptures from the Louvre. One is of a naked statue. It looks like Michelangelo's David statue, but I'm not positive. It has a woman next to it. Does anyone have a clue?

Times like this is when I wished I would have read the information about the painting or statue next to it. Just my luck, this is probably the most popular statue known. Of course, I wouldn't know that... I'm not too smart when it comes to art. :o

I do not recall who did the two pieces that you are enquiring about
but I thought that you might like to have this link below.
Here is the Official web site to the Museum,The Louvre;
http://www.louvre.fr/llv/commun/home_fla...
It has a section for studies and for researching. Have a look and see if you can find the work that you are looking for.
They have virtual tours as well.

The Statue is definitely Not of Michelangelo's David as the other people have posted prior to myself.

Hope this helped,
Cheers!

Michelangelo's "David" is located in Florence...so it's not that one.
Process of elimination...
