If you are speaking of the dreams that I have at night then I would tell you that I don't really need to keep them in focus. I dream vividly and sometimes for fun. I find that the best dreams are those that I have when I'm taking catnaps. What I come up with in my dome is way better than anything on the boob tube.

As far as goals and ideals go, I usually just focus on those that I have love for. It's much easier for me to want to accomplish a task when I think about who I am affecting rather than of a monetary payoff. If I picture my mother and father, my brother or girlfriend when I am doing something relatively menial that must be done in order to acheive something greater, I'll usually find that task much easier to do.

What keeps me focused is the fact that if I don't become a Lawyer there is no way I can ever get all the stuff I want. I want it all the huge house on my favorite lake, with the BMW for me and a huge gas hog of a truck for my farmer(he could even be a cowboy, but not one of those fake wanna be cowboys) husband . Not only that but I want a farm back home with lots of cows and at least 4000 acres to farm, with brand new John Deere tractors. Will I ever get that stuff probably not but I will never know if I don't get into Law school. Law School is all that matters to me, only through that will my dreams come true.

dreams as in fantasy or dreams as in goals?

I'll assume goals

I try to keep my goals in "focus" by putting whatever my next goal is as a picture or similar somewhere where I can always see it again to remind me... like on the pin wall next to my pc...

If I get more involved in the dream... i.e. if someone is bowling and I cant really see it, I go and bowl with them and it gets really clear and everything
