Haven't read it, but the title itself suggests that God is a delusion. I know that He is not. I know that He answers prayers and has the power to change my life. Without Him, we would be nothing. Have you read the Bible? I found it great! Shalom

We are monkeys!0!

I love science, and I might not be a renown scientist like this monkey dawkins is, but I too have studied and I think it is just stupid to try to understand the bible literally, because it is very obvious that is not; and that's why there are so many religions. It is just ridiculous to attempt this. Yes, religions are ridiculous, but necessary.

Let me tell you a little bit about what you call the bible. This is the most complicated book you could ever read because of one main reason; it is a completely and highly symbolic book. Look at it this way; this is a novel which hides the meaning of every letter in it behind symbols, not of every word, but of every letter.

Why was it written like this? Very simple, because we are monkeys and would not understand anyway!0!

Faith is not a mere believe that there's something we call god, God, G-d, or whatever we want to call it. That is what I call The Monkey Faith.

If you really want to know the truth, you're going to have to do a little a better than that. You're going to have to dig deep within, and cry out, and pull your hair, and study a lot. I mean, really go deep within yourself. I tell you the truth; the kingdom of god is within you.

Now, be a good monkey and watch this:

Haven't read it, but have followed Dawkins for a while. He's a very bright man.

And sorry frogsfriend, but reading the bible is partly why I am an atheist now. I got tired of god slaughtering pregnant women, children, whole cities, babies, and finally practically the entire earth. Not that much fun really.

Dawkins is correct, God is a delusion

It could have been better.
While I consider his arguments carry a lot of weight, there was a definite baggage of unecessary bitterness and harshness which will put off many.
Particularly those who remain to be convinced. They will tend to spot the ranting elements and dismiss what comes with them.

i am catholic, but that book was wicked offensive and a person who thinks like that shouldn't write books and should keep his paranoid thoughts to himself
