For example, if you say it's 12:00pm EST, what time will it be in areas covered by 0:00 GMT?

Eastern standard time is GMT-5
for example if it is 10:00 GMT it will be 5:00 EST
So to get GMT from EST then add 5
i.e. 1:00 EST= 6:00 GMT
