Great question! My all-time favorite is Closer and Closer from 1996. It had Kim Delaney as a paraplegic novelist who has a guy copy-catting the serial killer's murders in her best-selling books. He's also after her! Ooooooo! Good times.
Another memorable one is the Betty Broderick miniseries starring Meredith Baxter. Betty was a freakin lunatic!

I can't remember the name of it but it was the one with Linda Purl trying to take over the identity of Heather Locklear. She was Heather's secretary and crazy as a loon.

My favorite is "The Killing Secert". i do not why it's my favorite i just like it.
