There is three possibilities I can think of:
1. The fans are sticking on dust, dirt, animal hair, etc.
2. When the fans are spinning it is hitting a power wire just simply move them away.
3. You may have a hard-drive problem. A lot of the time you know when a hard-drive is about to go out because of the horrific sound it makes.
Im certain its your fans hitting dust and such or wires getting smacked.
A tip on cleaning your fan blades
1. Turn off all power and take out the power cord just to re-assure your safety.
2. Don't make contact with the chips at all costs.
3. Take your time
To minimize your fans exposure to dust and such set your tower on a table or desk off the floor. It will decrease the build-up by 50%.
Hope I was help! :)

Hi,
This sounds like a cooling fan problem, there are two or three one on your CPU and two in your Power supply, to clean them use a 2 inch soft paint brush to get the dust out and then vacuum them out as well, you can just power up the computer with the sides off to check out the noise. Hope this helps.

Sounds like one of your fans is going bad. They start to make that kind of noise when the bearings are bad and the fan becomes unbalanced. Open up the box and track it down. When you find which one it is try to clean it. If that doesn't work, replace it.

maybe something is touching the fan, or the fan could be bad. try to vacuum some of the dust in the back of your computer where the fan is. when you look behind your computer, you'll see all the dust buildup on the fan. vacuum it, and you may even want to blow some air in there,

Open up the CPU and check your fan. Sometimes the fan gets full of dust and junk. Clean it carefully and see if that helps

Sounds like hard drive chatter. Have you removed and/or replaced anything inside the computer ?

RE. mJc's answer, open it up and track it down. Sounds like trash in the fan to me also.
