As soon as you take a bottle out of the steraliser its open to germs etc thats why you should steralise your bottles then make up your feeds if you make a days feed in one go or if you make your bottles individually. If you leave a sterilised bottle put together and not used you will need to steralise it again before you use it.
I used to keep made up formula feeds in the fridge for 24 hours, and the odd time when I have done just boiled water I have left that for 24 hours also. I think 24 hours is the limit.

Once its sterilized, leave it in pieces so that it can completely dry. Once its dry you're good until you use it next. Boiled water can be stored in the fridge. Just a couple tips on boiling: 1) if you have a municiple water source you probably don't need to boil. 2) make sure if you are going to boil that you only let the water boil for 1 minute (boiling longer evaporates off water, but concentrates everything else in the water, especially lead which is poisonous to children in high doses). Also, a good investment is one of those pitchers that you can pump the handle on the mix everything (pampered chef makes one) to mix up a days worth of formula at a time.

sterilized things stay sterilized if they are in something that's sterilized. meaning once its out in the open air it starts picking things up. But don't go running to the sterilizer it is still OK to use. All formula last only 24 hours no matter what type of water was used to make it.

I never boiled our water. They told me at the hospital that this city's water is safe to drink.
I only boiled the bottles the first time after I bought them. Other than that, I just washed them really well with hot soapy water.

As long as the bottle you are storing it in is sterile and sealed, it should be good pretty much indefinately.
