I remember when I was younger they used to sell shoes in half sizes. Now a lot of people have to buy one size or the other.
We know the harm that comes from wearing shoes that are too small. What about shoes that are slightly too big?
Rhetorical question here... why did they stop selling half sizes :-(

I think you can damage your toes by clawing them when walking. Lots of shops still do half sizes, but you may have to pay a bit more.
Having said that, a lot of the shoes that are sized do not always fit. Size 5 could be size 6 in some styles/makes if you get my meaning.
It is a bit like buying a size 14 or 12 - - some fit and some don't.

slightly larger shoes wont do you feet any harm just can make you walk funny and may give you hip and back ache after awhile why not stuff the ends of the shoes with tissue and this will help they still make half sizes but they are mainly in designer shoes i know how you feel i take a four and half and four is too small and fives too bigs

The only problem I know with wearing bigger shoes is you might trip alot. I dont know why they stop selling 1/2 sizes I just noticed that when I was shopping for some flip flops yesterday.

Wearing too large shoes causes two main problems. The first is blisters caused by the shoe slipping around on the foot. The second, more serious problem is 'claw toe' this is caused by you scrunching up your toes to grip the too large shoe to stop it falling off your foot.Occasionally wearing shoes too big isn't a major problem, blisters tend to heal easily. The 'claw toe' thing is a serious problem caused by long term wear of the wrong shoes.

u could just trip or fall alot. I don't think that there is any health concern really with wearing shoes slightly too big. Good Luck ~â¥~

You could have blisters as your feet have lots playing inside the shoes and you could fall down in the stairs.
