A month ago I started a new job. My problem is that another girl at the company had applied for my job as well and didn't get it. Her husband is an IT guy.
Every time I attempt to do computer work, wierd things happen. My document suddenly has errors in it that weren't there prior to (just when I print off the final copy). I'll work on something all day only to find it completely missing the next day. Things that I have done become undone right before my eyes.
My email folders have disappeared, my functions have seised working altogether at times. Email requesting something done last week might appear today. All kinds of things like that are happening.
I know there is a way to see who has been on my computer but don't know how.
I also know that the IT guys have set up my computer security so that I could not restrict others in the company from accessing my hard drive.
What can I do to prove that these problems are outside of my own control. or how can I stop them?

get a 'key logger' that plugs in between the keyboard plug and the back panel of the pc.
they make them fairly small and inconspicuous.
also get a usb drive to save your work on, so if it's gone the next day from its normal location you already have a copy backup. Take 'screen shots' of the folders after you save your files into them showing the icons or even the properties box of the file. (press the print screen key near F12 and open mspaint and 'paste' ctrl-v' and the screen shot will paste into paint..then save as a jpg.)

The Senior IT guy can get access to log files that keep track of who is logging in on what pc as well...so build up some probable cause and go present that to HR.

You could setup success or failure logging on important folders. If you right click on the folder
Choose security and sharing
Security tab
Advanced
Auditing
then add
you can audit all the users and see who's accessing it and changing stuff

this isn't fool proof but it may help you decipher if anyone is accessing your stuff.

oh you probably would want to also make a back up of your important documents on a thumb drive or external backup.

good luck

YOu need to talk to whoever is in charge of the company network. YOU don't have administrator priveleges to do anything to stop this. You need to document the problem (in writing), give a copy to your boss and so on as well as the IT person you talk to. Don't let them put you off, but ask nicely and take lots of time explaining.

Each time you have to go back to IT for the same problem, put it in writing to your boss as well.

Good Luck

PS. If possible, you should save a copy of your files onto a floppy, ZIP, flashdrive or whatever you have that can give you a copy so you don't have to re-key stuff.

Yours is a real intresting question. I think some one is remotely controlling ur system. Check weather any back ground remote controlling softwares are running on ur system. just click ctrl+Alt+Del and in the task manager window see if u find any software running other than what u know. and close the software.

They cannot accesses ur computer with out remote connections check that. I think it will help u. If give me more info on ur computer network connections i will try to help u out.

Have your company Tech re-install Windows, this should have been done for you anyway. If that's not an option, create a new User Account (Control Panel > User Accounts).

Reboot and start using the new account you created. If that doesn't fix it, re-installing Windows is the only viable choice.

i think of the final time it replaced into The Lord of rings: return of The King, whether that twelve months replaced into somewhat lame and it replaced into the obtrusive winner, the different nominees have been lost in Translation, Seabiscuit, grasp and Commander: blah blah, Mystic River. i in my view have not seen Million dollar toddler yet i'm fairly going to could desire to observe it now after analyzing this, being that it gained after The Lord of the jewelry, i could could desire to accept as true with you if i like it extra effective than the Aviator, that's extremely achievable. BQ- i do no longer think of any of those have been extra effective than the different nominees, extraordinarily Chicago beating LOTR the two Towers and Dances With Wolves beating Goodfellas, and Crash is heavily overvalued, yet i think of the single i'm able to attend to the suitable is The English affected person. BBQ- Unforgiven for now
