This is your problem. We cannot defeat Iraq as we are not at war against Iraq. We are supposedly there to liberate the country although thus far we have only made it worse.
The nation voted last November and it was clear that they opposed further military action in Iraq and Iran. If Bush invades Iran, he may as well just hand the keys to the White House over to the Democratic Candidate for President. No Republican will have a chance if Bush invades Iran.

If we engage Iran we will collapse our economy. Do you have any idea what the initial costs were for the first 6 months of Iraq both times, and Afghanistan. We chewed up a trillion dollar surplus in 30 days. WE cannot afford to go to war right now, we are spread way to thin. It is ridiculous that our government just does not have the communication skills necessary to effectively establish diplomatic solutions that are viable for both parties. They must feel pretty vulnerable, being one of the only major economies without nuclear power. And sure, they may want to develop a weapon, but if we could somehow form a type of partnership with Iran in some unified effort, perhaps we could find a purpose for each nation. Things are being portrayed as us or them, but the reality is it is just a couple of people who don’t agree. You got our leader and their leader. Lets put them both in a boxing ring and settle it that way instead of millions of lives on both sides. The way this is headed it is going to end with us loosing a city and them loosing an entire civilization. We have to increase business with Iran and perhaps they would like to join us in a space exploration mission, or maybe we could talk them into building a solar array (they have everything they need) to help power that region of the world. Perhaps we could work with them on alternative energy sources. Perhaps we could exchange medical information and engineering advancements. There is no need for us to fight Iran. There is a deep seeded hatred born of propaganda against us. The only way for us to combat terrorism is to change this point of view in such a way that there is no denying that we are good folk. For instance, in Russia there has been a lot of American influence from our culture to our music to our movies to our food, and they don’t hate us so much anymore. We can turn it around with the Muslim world as well, we need to do what they ask and “stop infringing on Islam” which when translated to English means “leave me alone and I will leave you alone.”

I don't see us defeating insurgents in Iraq and Iran would be a deadly mistake. They have a standing army and chemical weapons that are ready to be used now. The causalities would be enormous. Maybe you don't care about the lives of our people, but I do.

Well it's been about 2 months, give them some time Seems the Dems, especially in the House, have done more to that effect than the current administration has done in 4 years. New funding will be cut, Georgie's hand will be forced.

I count about 9 traitors who took America down this path and they are super cons ( globalist. ) Both parties are beholden to them in some fashion or other. We have to quit playing the red and blue game before it's too late. Only can we all together change the course of this country.

They said they would try. And they are. Bush is blocking them of course. At least there will be an investigation of the poor treatment of our wounded soldiers at Walter Reed! Now that's supporting our soldiers!

No, we didn't. That's how the GOP tried to spin the election. The key issue was the lack of congressional oversight over the war, something that we've never had with the republicans controlling congress.

What a hypothetical question? There would be a lot more factors involved than just that.. Most likely that would further reinforce my views to vote democrat though..
