what are the oslo accords? What happend there between Israel and Palestine?

The Oslo accord was an agreement between the Israeli Government and the leader of the PLO, Yasser Arafat. This accord was brokered with the help of the Clinton administration to give the Gaza strip and the west bank back to the palestinians and help them with the foundations of a palestinian nation.
