Greg Oden is so over rated its not even funny he cant do anything against good post players like when he played florida and was up against Noah, Noah shut him down and Oden only had 7 pts only 7pts he hasnt had any good games against good post players and once the NCAA tourny comes and he has to face people like tyler hansborough and Noah again hes not gonna be able to do anything

It's not like he's not a an offensive specialist, plus he's shooting with his off hand. He has the most affect on defense, and he's not overrated.

Oden has never, i repeat never been advertised as a dominant offensive player. and that was before he broke his wrist. he didn't play for seven months then came into NCAA competition without practicing for seven months, and without full use of his dominant hand. He's averaging 15 10 and 4 blocks with a broken right wrist, plus he's the best defesnive presence in college bascketball since alonzo mourning, and that was all he was advertised to be. So no he's not overrated.

I'm not sure if he's over rated or not. From what I've heard the guy is playing with one bad hand and he's not expected to be healthy till next season. John Thompson (former Georgetown coach) said that Oden is going to be the next Patrick Ewing. If anybody can evalute big men it's John Thompson. I do see everyones point though since he doesn't have stellar numbers.

I dont think any time a guy with that much athleticism and that much height can be overrated. Greg Oden may have some bad games, but who doesnt. He was amazing in the game against Wisconsin.

you seem to forget that a: he isn't a very developed offensive player anyways, that's not his role yet. b: he dominates on defense, so he makes up for it. c: everyone has bad games (noah has scored a total of 18 points his last 3 games). and d: oden is still playing with a cast on his strong hand, you probably didn't realize this but it's kinda hard to suddenly start playing with your weak hand against great players after 19 years of using your other hand

I've never understood all the hype around him. He averages a lot of rebounds, especially for college, but who hypes a player this much over rebounds? Crittendon at Georgia Tech is having as good a year as Oden.

I think he is a little overrated his offensive game isnt complete yet but he is very good on Defense. He is averging 15 pts a game though which isnt bad.

Could be better if he got up and down the court a little faster. The great ones will run.

He should be the second pick this year and he will probably go number one so I guess he is slightly overrated.
