It all depends on what kind of palm tree you are wanting to grow. For example, if you plant a coconut, you have to put it in a tub of water until it sprouts, then plant it. If it is a date, you just plant it in good rich soil and keep it moist. There are many answers to this one question depending on the species.

If you do the same search and are willing to spend a few minutes exploring, you will find all kinds of useful and interesting information. Just the first page of ten results offers websites with the information you want.

plant the seed in sandy soil,it is its native soil,mix in some gardening mix,for nutrients.keep moist and warm in a dark place.
