To answer 7, Goverment transparency is always dubious. And classified information has always existed? Why create classified information. What is there to hide?
Why shouldn't people be allowed to view so called "classified information"?

The Government is not some machine that is built to hide the truth from us. It an organization made of people, people with family and friends just like the rest of us. Do you think it would be possible to go to work or school everyday of your life and not talk to your friends and family about new and exciting events in your life? No! It is in our nature to communicate and tell others about us. Since, we no longer beat each other with clubs (caveman era) we establish status with how much we understand and know! And the people within the Government are know exception to this built in instinct.

Most likely, no aliens are coming here because distant stars are so far away that no technology can overcome the huge distances involved. And if they did, their technology would be so fantastically advanced compared to ours, that they would not waste their time lurking about, afraid of being seen--they would be able to vaporized the earth without any effort. Thirdly, it's essentially impossible for a lot of people to keep a secret--yet, no government officials have ever offered any realistic proof of aliens. Today, any photo or film can be faked easily, so be a little skeptical

They are telling the truth,
Roswell was a weather balloon so there was nothing really to it.
The only thing they have is they had an experience with a fire hydrant recently and it was a top priority secret till they check it out.

The government does keep military secrets, but it is HIGHLY implausible that they have been secretly in contact with aliens from space for 40 years or more.
