How can i get into acting?

Question

Im 15. I live in the UK and really want to become an actor. I have enrolled in a stage school in the past, currently taking drama for my GCSE's and i am currently filming a short film.

I would love to be able to find feature film auditions somewhere here in the UK, but i don't really know where to look. I have tried signing up to casting directories on the internet but find they're not really for my age group, mostly for adults.

I am currently making a meeting with a casting directories based in London [for me in the UK] Los Angles and Santa Monica in California.

They have all TV roles and film auditions.. So im going to make a meeting with them soon.

Does anyone know any film agencies? Or know an agent that may consider taking me on?

I would highly recommend University Drama and English lit as a vehicle to sustain your career. Keep up the acting as a hobby for now, it will be in your favor down the road however should you wish the best dollar for your dime, be sure to think University first.

I think that you will find that it is experience that you need, nothing can replace experience. You seem to be trying to get in at the top instead of working your way to the top. That's` O.K. if you will be able to cope, but you are still very young. Have you tried your local theatre acting group, this is where a lot of actors start. Good luck .

There is an internet thing called Springboard which is directed at children and adults and no professional experience is needed - just ambition.

if your confident in your acting abilities then right letters to tv companies or look for auditions and take part. nothing ventured nothing gained and remember most succesfull actors are not based on there skills just look and good scripts.
keep trying and get acting lessons go for it!
