I seem to be losing memory in my Hard disc. 5GB were taken off and I don't know how they left. Does anybody know what this is??

System Restore will take a large chunk of space.
Did you enable sharing for a music search engine?
You may have a lot of temporary internet files.

Enable viewing hidden and system files to see all your files

You may have a disk error.
Run "check disk" check both options and restart. (runs a long time) Run Disk Cleanup then Disk Defragment.

Install and run CCleaner to clean out junk files.
Install options. Do not install toolbar or recycle bin options
Place cookies you want to keep in the save list. Set to run when computer starts.

sound like an odd dilema. the only thing i can think of is that either you installling stuff, which u wud know about. or that you have some kind of virus which is download vast ammount of junk to your computer. do a virus scan and if that doesn't work maybe you should use the recovery disc? and if that doenst work go to a pc shop or something, hope this helps.

If you recently did a disk cleanup or a defrag, bad sectors are automatically mapped out (hidden) and your total drive capacity will shrink.

This is normal, so don't panic.
