It depends on the relationship between you and your sister..
If it is a bad one, that means subconsciously you want to get back or make some sort of revenge to her. You probably hated her and couldn't her in the day time, dreaming of her death is a release of anger.
If it is a good one, that means there is some warning sign about you not being a good brother to her and it is a release of guilt conscience.

Does she live far away? Are you two having trouble? Has she or is she sick? If you said no to any of these - then it could just have been a dream in part where you may have had an upset tummy or headache that wasn't severe enough to notice, but your subconcious did and retaliated in a dream.

Only GOD can interpret the true meaning of a dream. If you have the same dream 3 times it is a message from GOD. But what ever it is pray for your sister that she be saved and receive JESUS CHRIST as her LORD and SAVIOR that when her time does come ( everyone's does) that she will be in heaven for eternity with GOD and not spend eternity in "Hell where the worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched." And please seek the LORD for yourself also. A loving and caring Christian.

Remember first and foremost, a dream means only what it means to you. You are the only one who can interpret it fully. All I can do is throw a few bones for you to chew on as you analyze yourself. How close are you with your sister? If you are close to her, friends, it could mean a reminder of better and more communication. If you are not that close and perhaps see him/her as enemy, the dream could be a release of your anger in some way.
To fully understand your dream, it would be best if you remembered more details. The more details, the better the analysis. It is important to remember what happened as well as what you felt during the dream. Such as relief, jealousy, fear, anything along those lines. It helps put things into clearer context. Every little thing means something. Let me give you an example. A tree usually represents the connection between your mind and your actions. What kind of tree? What season is the tree in? Are there birds in the branches? How close or how far away is it? Is it bearing fruit? Is it in the bright sun or hidden in the shade?
However, when most people remember a dream they only bring back a few major details to their waking life. If you ever have such a dream again, write it all down the moment you awaken. The moment you begin to prepare for your day, such details drift away like smoke in the wind.
Death in a dream seldom refers to an actual death. Usually it represents changes in your life or attitude towards a certain person. If the dead person is actually a living person, especially if that person is parent or sibling, your dream might be expressing unconscious resentment towards her or a desire to be independent of her. Feelings towards siblings are often ambivalent (conflicting) such as love and respect or fear and hatred.
You do not mention much about your sister or her means of dieing. But honestly, no matter your feelings towards her, this does not mean you are subconsciously harboring a death wish towards your sister.
In every moment of our life we face the possibility of death. It is not surprising therefore that the subject figures in many dreams. As with any major life event, in our dreams we meet death in various forms as part of our attempt to develop a working relationship with it. Such dreams enable us to become aware of what our deepest fears or feelings are regarding our own death, or the death of someone we love or know. Usually the strongest feelings are of loss. Over a period of time the dreamer may move beyond such feelings of loss into exploring other possibilities of death.
Examining many dreams dealing with death, many dreamers get stuck in fearful or grief laden feelings, while others move on into a positive relationship with the ending of life. The difference appears to be centered on what level of emotion the dreamer can tolerate and accept, and how daring they are. Many people, on meeting death in their dream, awake with feelings of emptiness and loss, pain, fear, or dread. If they could fully meet those feelings they would pass on to develop a very different experience of death in their dreams.
Because dreaming about death is a very frequent theme, and has many aspects, you must look at any death dream you have had and see it in context with the other parts of your dream. Dreaming of death often suggests that some aspect of your outer or inner life is fading, or being superseded by a changed approach, so may be shown as dying.
If the death is someone we know this frequently shows a desire to be free of someone; or unexpressed aggression; perhaps one’s love for that person has ‘died’. Maybe we want someone ‘out of the way’ so we do not have to compete for attention and love.
Although the unconscious has a very real sense of its eternal nature and continuance after physical death, the ego seldom shares this. Unconsciously we realize that collective humanity carries living experience from the life of those now dead. This aspect of a life beyond the physical is shown in many dreams.
In dreams, death often means new beginnings or fear of new opportunities. If it was a really vivid dream, the importance of the meaning would be doubled and something significant will happen soon. If you don't dream often, again, it is more significant and is probably connected to your sister at a subconscious level if you are really close. However, birth or coming back to life can mean either a new beginning or something bad or challenging is going to happen.
This is just a very light analysis. As I said, without further details you can only get generalities. Only you can really analyze and get to the bottom of it.
Good luck and do not worry. We have no control over what we dream. We just can control our reactions to them.
